
Ronny Moorings and Anke Wolbert found "Xymox" in Nijmegen

Ronny
and Anke move to Amsterdam. Their first album "Subsequent Pleasures"
is self-produced and released as a limited edition of 500 copies.
Pieter Nooten becomes a member of the Band, but leaves shortly after.
Ronny meets "Dead Can Dance" and "Xymox" tour as their
support on their England-tour.
That's where the label 4AD takes note of the band and offers "Xymox" a
contract.
Pieter Nooten thereupon returns to the band.

"Xymox"
from now on call themselves "Clan of Xymox".
Their debut album "Clan of Xymox" is released.
Shortly after that their first single
"Stranger" with 'Stranger' and 'A Day' as remix is released

In November the second album "Medusa" is released, coinciding with the single "Louise".

For
the 4ad - sampler "Lonely is
an Eyesore" the "Subsequent Pleasures"- piece
"Muscoviet Mosquito" is re-recorded.
Also, a video-clip is produced.
Clan of Xymox shorten their name to "Xymox".
Pieter Nooten once again leaves the band.
Xymox release "Blind Hearts/ A Million Things" as a 12", which is
the last release on the 4AD label.
Xymox leave 4ad und sign at Polygram/ Wing.
On 4AD the solo-album "Sleep with the Fishes" from Pieter Nooten in
corporation with Michael Brook is released.

Release
of the album "Twist of Shadows", the most successful album of the band
with 300.000 sold copies.
Followed by the single-releases "Blind Hearts", "Obsession"
and "Imagination"

Pieter
Nooten rejoins the band.
Release of the album"Phoenix" .
In addition the 12" of "Phoenix of my heart" and "At the end
of the day" are released.
The planned release "Wonderland" only appears as a promo.
As the releases do not meet the expectations, Anke Wolbert and Pieter Nooten
leave the band for good.
Ronny
takes charges and leaves Polygram/ Wing.
He founds the label X-ult, which he winds up a couple of years later.

Ronny
signs a contract with ZOK Records.
There the album "Metamorphosis" and the single "Dream On"
are released.
Mojca Zugna joins the band as bassist and from now on also designs the
album-covers.

The
album "Headclouds" is released.
Followed by the single-releases "Spiritual High" and "Reaching
Out" .

The
album "Remix" appears as last release with ZOK with almost all the
songs from the last two albums.
The first re-release of "Subsequent Pleasures" appears with the demo
versions of the debut album.
(Clan of Xymox) on Pseudonym Records.
Ronny returns from London to Amsterdam.

Ronny
signs a contract with Tess Records (later Pandaimonium) , names the
band again "Clan of Xymox" and has a complete band with Mojca (bass),
Rui Ramos (drums), Rob Vonk (guitar) und Nina Simic (keyboards) .
In summer the single "Out Of The Rain" appears.
In autumn the comeback-album "Hidden Faces" is released.
Clan of Xymox are back live on stage.

Single release of "This World" .

In
April the album "Creatures" appears on Pandaimonium (formerly Tess).
The single release "Consolation" follows in November.
The album is voted "Album of the month May" in Orkus Magazin, Germany.
On 4ad the albums "Clan of Xymox" and "Medusa" are
re-released with bonus-tracks.
Ronny begins work for the new album "Notes from the Underground".

In
May Clan of Xymox play in front of 20.000 people at a festival in Mexico City.
The first official live-album appears under the title "Live" in
September.
Late autumn the 12" "Liberty" appears as a foretaste to the
coming album.
Ronny produces the debut-album "The Age of Sophya" of the Israelian
band "Sophya".
Temporarily Nina (keyboard) is replaced by Laura , as she cannot participate at
the live gigs out of personal reasons.

Clan
of Xymox
play at the GothAm festival in Amsterdam , which they organized
themselves.
There they play first time in their new order.
Nina and Rob left the band, replaced by Paul (guitar) and Denise (keyboards).
In March the second re-release of "Subsequent Pleasures" appears at
Pandailectric.
On 21. September the album "Notes from the Underground" is released.
It reaches number 2 of the DAC Charts in Germany.
Shortly after that the Sampler "Orkus Collection 2"
with the previously unreleased song "A New Dimension" is
published.
In November
"The John Peel Sessions"-album finally appears, which was
recorded in 1985.

Presumably
on 25. March the new single of "In Strict Confidence" with the name
"Herzattacke" will be published, on which among others the first remix
made by Clan of Xymox for another band is feartured.
